Colombina continues to position itself as one of the most sustainable food companies in the world.

May 02 2023

For the seventh consecutive year, the company is in the top 10 of the most sustainable food companies globally according to S&P Global's corporate sustainability assessment. Colombina has carried out important environmental initiatives in its production plants, which have been reflected in the reduction of its carbon footprint.

Cali, May, 2023 . Colombina recently presented its sustainability report, which highlights not only its environmental and social initiatives, but also its contribution to the country's economy and employability. During 2022, the company continued to advance its 6 sustainable management priorities: ecological balance, social development, promotion of competitiveness, its collaborators, transparency and nutrition and continuous growth.

Colombina has constantly declared its commitment to contributing to a better world and this has been reflected in its climate change actions, highlighting that in the last 8 years, it has managed to reduce its water consumption by 25%; reduced its carbon footprint per ton produced by 35% and currently 100% of the energy consumption of its confectionery plant in La Paila comes from renewable sources: 34% comes from its solar farm and the remaining 66% is hydroelectric energy certified as renewable.

Let’s taste a better world, that is why our foods not only have the best flavor, but also the way we make them tastes good to the world, because behind each one of them there is an entire strategy aimed at to reduce the impact on the planet, to guarantee equal opportunities to our collaborators, to develop projects of mutual growth with the communities, with our consumers, and in general with our interest groups, since we are convinced that every action we take counts and positively impacts the world.
