The Colombina Foundation, Compromiso Valle, and the Tuluá Chamber of Commerce join forces to support the development and growth of entrepreneurs in this municipality.

• These three organizations are launching a call for applications to award entrepreneurs with seed capital to help them continue growing.
• This is part of Big Brother Entrepreneurs, a program by Colombina created to support small businesses by transferring knowledge and providing them with tools for their development.

Tuluá, July 10, 2024. The Colombina Foundation, Compromiso Valle, and the Tuluá Chamber of Commerce have joined forces to launch the Big Brother Entrepreneurs, initiative in this municipality and its surrounding areas. The objective is to strengthen small businesses in the region and enhance their capacity to supply goods or services, focusing on meeting the needs of local companies.

“For the Colombina Foundation, this partnership is very important because it allows us to bring the Big Brother Entrepreneurs program to a new region. The program's main goal is to contribute to the growth and strengthening of microenterprises in Tuluá and the surrounding area. The aim is to provide entrepreneurs with the necessary tools to develop or consolidate a business idea or an existing venture, which will be evaluated by a committee of experts from the Colombina Organization. Based on their respective business plans, the best proposals will compete to receive seed capital to boost their development," said Ana María Juana Rojas, Director of the Colombina Foundation.

The call for applications was launched on July 10. Interested individuals can submit their proposals until August 2 using the following link. Once the businesses are selected, the Chamber of Commerce will implement a training and advisory plan to provide the nominated entrepreneurs with the tools needed to develop a business idea. The ideas will then be presented to an evaluation committee, which will select the 10 best ones to receive seed capital. It is worth noting that the winners will be monitored for one year based on the goals they establish.

This initiative offers significant benefits to the selected microenterprises, including workshops and training in business management, personalized consulting to identify areas for improvement and develop specific action plans, a networking zone where they can connect with other entrepreneurs and industry experts, and access to technical and financial resources. These tools will help improve the efficiency and quality of their products.

“For the Tuluá Chamber of Commerce, it is very gratifying to support and accompany businesses in each of the processes they undertake, especially in the case of the Big Brother Entrepreneurs program, which aims to support microentrepreneurs with training and seed capital to strengthen their business plans. We are very pleased that this initiative is being implemented in our municipality and that we have two such important partners as Compromiso Valle and the Colombina Foundation," said Miguel Ángel González, Executive President of the Tuluá Chamber of Commerce.

Big Brother Entrepreneurs Tuluá is a pilot program that, depending on the results, is expected to be replicated next year.
